Welcome back, Green Dragons!  I hope each of you took time to rejuvenate yourselves this summer and are fired up to make a difference here and in your community.  As I speak, the freshmen class is bustling around the Commons participating in orientation.  If you’re a returning student, please choose to invest time during the first few weeks of school to get to know some of these diverse, delightful new Dragons.

Whether you’re a new or returning student, I invite you to stop by the library this month too.  There’s a book display focused on our first global rotation, the Middle East, and you can pick up the password list for the many information-rich databases of scholarly articles and other digital tools to which the MW Library subscribes to support your success here at MLWGS.  While you’re here, please take a moment to introduce yourself if you haven’t dropped by before.  I’d love the chance to learn more about your reading and research interests and your dreams for making a difference here and in the world beyond this campus.

Have a wonderful beginning to the 2009/2010 school year!
