Novelist Min Jin Lee visited MLWGS during 4th block today to chat with students and faculty about writing.  In one of her responses to a question, Mrs. Lee said that she thinks her best talent is her curiosity.  As an emphatic believer in the power of curiosity and questioning to inspire learning, guide research, and lead to new knowledge, her comment really resonated with me.  It also connected with a quote from Albert Einstein that I read recently in an article about gifted students:

The important thing is not to stop questioning.  Curiosity has its own reason for existing.  One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality.  It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day.  Never lose a holy curiosity.
