Teachers: Library sign-ups are on a first come, first served basis, so please contact Ms. DeGroat at least one week ahead of time if you’d like to schedule a library visit for your class/classes. To see what times have already been scheduled by other teachers, please check the library calendar.

Students: You’re invited to visit the library before or after school, during study hall or lunch, and with permission from a teacher during class. Please respect others by maintaining a quiet study-friendly environment and stepping into the commons if you’d like to chat with friends, eat, drink, or use your cell phone (at times when cell phone use is allowed in the building).

Keep in mind that classes in the library have precedence for computer use. To see if a class will be in the library during your independent study block, please check the library calendar.

MW Library Circulation Policies for Students

Circulation period: 14 days for normal (non-reference) books, 7 days for CD’s
Renewals (as long as item not on hold): three for normal books, one for CD’s
Overdue fines (higher for reference): $0.10 per item per day
Maximum overdue fine per item: $5.00
Lost book fee: varies (based on replacement cost plus processing)
Maximum number of items: five
Reference materials: overnight checkout only, $1.00 per item per day fine
Magazines and newspapers: in-library use only
