This statue is called the Lone Sailor. This is a symbol of all who served in the U.S. Navy. This memorial is located on Pennsylvania Avenue near the National Archives in Washington, D.C.

There is another Lone Sailor statue at the waterfront in Hampton Roads Virginia.
